Case Study: Burger King Digital Menu Board Installation Project
In the largest effort of its kind to date, IST is currently in the process of installing over 26,000 digital menu boards at approximately 6500 Burger King locations in just 16 weeks. Locations vary, but a typical install requires deinstallation; site preparation (spackle and paint); wiring; mounting and cabling for four 46" commercial grade monitors; network configuration for software integration; and back-office controller installation with supporting wall hardware. The Menu Boards integrate seamlessly with the existing POS system.
Throughout the project, IST’s PM team has met rigorous scheduling requirements and developed a process for real time, tech-level communication directly from the site. Our unprecedented flexibility in hiring and coordinating electricians as well as taking on basic site construction has simplified the project for our client while significantly reducing their costs.
Case Study: McDonald’s NEWPOS 6.5 Upgrade Rollout
In June 2010 IST was selected as the key service provider for four independent partners participating in McDonald’s nationwide upgrade to NEWPOS 6.5, the latest iteration of McDonald’s proprietary POS system. In total, IST’s field service teams reached 5000+ locations all across the United States within just 13 months.
Due to the mission critical nature of POS software we performed all work after hours with little room for errors. The scope of work varied from location to location but usually included new hardware installation (Panasonic, PAR, NCR), software installation from a preconfigured and staged system, network configuration, cabling and cleanup. Again, detailed time tracking and reporting were central to our clients’ success.
Case Study: Customized onsite Service, repair, and warehousing
Over the past twenty years IST has developed extensive working relationships with many of the largest quickservice concepts in the United States. Our nationwide reach and attention to personalized, quality service and repairs have helps IST land a significant percentage of McDonald's onsite service work; as well as onsite service, depot repair, and warehousing for Sonic and Burger King.
IST works with our clients to develop a nuanced framework taking into consideration geographical distribution, age of equipment, urgency of need, reporting requirements, etc.
